Japan’s Vice-Minister for Global Environmental Affairs of the Environment Visits BPEC
On October 2, 2025, DOI Kentaro, Japan’s Vice-Minister for Global Environmental Affairs of the Environment inspected Bangpoo Environmental Complex Co., Ltd. (BPEC, Samutprakarn Thailand), a waste incineration processing company in Thailand.
Mr. DOI was visiting Thailand to attend the 9th APAN (Asia Pacific Advanced Network), and carried out an inspection of Japanese environmental companies requested by the Ministry of the Environment.
Using incineration and thermal energy recovery facilities that can process both hazardous and non- hazardous wastes, BPEC had quickly undertaken a fluorocarbon destruction process in Thailand. The company is participating in the EV Battery 3R Project, a joint Japanese-Thai public-private project, in which batteries from Thailand are safely pyrolyzed in a fixed-bed furnace and the metal is then recycled from the incineration residue.
On the day of the inspection, after explaining the DOWA Group’s Environmental Management & Recycling Business in Thailand, the participants were given a tour of BPEC’s fluorocarbon processing facility and battery incinerator.
The DOWA Group will continue to promote the strengthening of its environmental and recycling services—which include the appropriate processing of waste, recycling, and initiatives for carbon neutrality—and contribute toward building a sustainable society.
