The Indonesian Ministry of Environment Visits PPLi’s PCB Waste Treatment Facility

On April 21, representatives from the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Indonesia visited the polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) waste treatment facility at PT Prasadha Pamunah Limbah Industri (PPLi), located in West Java, Indonesia.

This visit was conducted as a follow-up to the technical meeting held in Jakarta on April 16, titled “Enhancing Understanding of PCBs Management in Preparation for PCB Project Phase 2.” The purpose was to promote understanding among government officials directly involved in overseeing and implementing the PCB elimination program.

At PPLi, which has reliable technology and a track record of treating approximately 110 tons of PCB waste to date, the ministry representatives were seen actively observing the facility and asking many questions during the visit.

PPLi will continue to contribute to achieving the Indonesian government’s goal of complete PCB elimination by 2028 through its PCB waste treatment efforts.
